Labels

Labels. You see them on your food, your beauty products, tooth brush and even on blogs online. You see them everywhere. It is easy to recognize and look for the things you want when you have labels isn’t it? One would expect it is easy to put labels on things. You just need to look at them and figure out which label to put. Like putting “Vegetarian” label on food that is for vegetarians and “Kosher/Halal” on food that complies with the religious dietary rules. Simple right? Well, unfortunately not in my case.

I used to be a commitment freak and now I am not even sure about that label. I went through a transformation that changed me from a commitment freak to a clingy label-hungry type of girl. I wanted to put a label on what I am with him. I recently met a guy and he’s amazing. He makes me feel special and appreciated. Never in my life has a guy makes me feel so wanted (in a good way) and adored. The way he looks at me, the way he speaks to me, everything makes me melts. And I have a very strong resistance towards “melting” yet he manages to pull it off. What a guy!

The issue now is, we keep flirting but none of us has put a label on what “this” is. Are we a couple? Is he my boyfriend? Am I his girlfriend? It’s just confusing and very stressful to me. I am torn between putting a label to this relationship or just playing along with the courtship. *sigh*
